Advantex And Bell Mobility Partner To Offer Remote Wireless Internet Access For CIBC Aerogold Program

Toronto, February 9, 2000 - Advantex Marketing International Inc. and Bell Mobility announced today that CIBC Aerogold cardholders will enjoy wireless remote Internet access through their Bell Mobility PCS digital phones to the more than 450 participating Advantex restaurants, golf courses, country inns, resorts, and entertainment venues across Canada where they can earn DOUBLE or TRIPLE Aeroplan Miles.

CIBC Aerogold cardholders will be able to wirelessly access participating Advantex merchants quickly and easily by simply launching the mobile browser on their Bell Mobility PCS phone and selecting ADVANTEX from the menu. Cardholders will be able to choose a participating Advantex merchant and make dinner reservations, secure tee times, reserve rooms, or call through to TicketMaster to purchase tickets to participating events.

"Bell Mobility’s PCS service adds enormous value and convenience for CIBC Aerogold cardholders and a powerful new promotional channel for our merchant partners," stated Randall G. Munger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Advantex Marketing.

"The value of remote wireless Internet access is even more significant in light of the CIBC Aerogold ADVANTEX shopping portal launching in late Spring 2000," continued Munger. "Cardholders will be able to shop online at participating e-retailers through their PCS phone 24 hours a day from anywhere in Canada."

"When it comes to delivering wireless Internet services to Canadians, Bell Mobility is more than just talk," said Charlotte Burke, VP Services Development, Bell Mobility. "We were the first PCS company in North America to put an Internet Browser into the PCS phone. Today, we offer the largest array of wireless Internet services in Canada and, together with Advantex, we are delivering on our commitment to bring our customers the best of the Web."

Advantex owns and operates the successful CIBC Aerogold ADVANTEX Benefit program, a fully integrated feature of the CIBC Aerogold VISA credit card. CIBC Aerogold cardholders automatically earn DOUBLE or TRIPLE Aeroplan Mile awards through the CIBC Aerogold ADVANTEX program when making purchases at a network of over 450 participating restaurants, golf courses, country inns and specialty resorts in Canada. An additional 4,500 restaurants in the United States will be launched in April. CIBC Aerogold is the number one gold VISA credit card in Canada. Air Canada’s Aeroplan Program is Canada’s most popular frequent flyer program.

Advantex’s wireless application was built by T4G Limited, a Toronto based wireless solutions developer, and is based on the XMLEdge software platform from MobileQ.com in Toronto.

Bell Mobility is the first PCS company in North America to put an Internet Browser into the PCS handset. Mobile Browser users can access and view a number of Internet sites specifically adapted for small display screens. Mobile Browser is currently available on a number of Bell Mobility Digital PCS phones, including the NeoPoint 1000 and Qualcomm’s QCP-2700F, QCP-2700 and QCP-2760. In future, new phones from Bell Mobility, such as Motorola’s Digital StarTAC and Samsung’s SCH-3530, will also be ‘.com-ready’ at introduction, enabling users to access Mobile Browser services anywhere, anytime.
